It Is Ultimate Blog Party Time!

Hi there, hey there, I’ve got my party hat on I’m ready to go! If you’re not here for the Ultimate Blog Party, go ahead, click HERE, and go read all about it.

Since it is a party, I only feel it fair if I introduce myself a little better than the blurb on the side of the page there.

That Girl

You should know that if I ever sound a little defensive when writing about a specific topic, it is because I’m very passionate about a number of topics and issues and thus have gained the recognition of “That Girl” amongst family and friends.

You know, that extended breastfeeding, cloth diapering, homeschooling, tree-hugging agnostic. The weirdo among the friends and the black sheep among the family.

But hey, what can I say, I live my life doing what fills my soul and feels right in my heart and if I manage to freak out and scare everyone along the way, so be it.

The Fairytale Bunch

I’m the Mama Bear, Paisley, I’m 28 years old, a Florida gal, love the outdoors and cooking but please do not mistake me for the type that is crafty, handy or keeps my home beautifully decorated, that’s just not me.

I’ve been with Papa Bear for 11 ½ years now and we have been married for almost 9 years. Papa Bear is my hard working rock, my best friend and obviously the love of my life.

We have three beautiful children, Baby Bear, our 8 year old (Aspie, ODD, Autism??? No clear diagnosis after all of this time) whom I believe will be my little engineer. Though he despises math at the moment, he combines logic and creativity in such a wonderful way.

Goldilocks, our newly 6 year old, is the spitfire who is full of life and not afraid to challenge you on everything. Despite how much of tomboy she is (no Barbie play for me : ( ) for the last three years, she has stated she is going to be a mommy just like me when she grows up.

Then there is Little Red, our 2 ½ year old who constantly reminds me that I need to stay on my toes. I have laptop missing all of its keyboard keys and my HTC Hero has been dunked in a full cup of coffee among other things. Need I say more?

What You Get at The Tweet

Well, it is mostly home school, I love sharing free and cheap resources and lesson plans for those who are more “out of the box” homeschoolers like our family. Teaching your kids at home can get really pricey if you’re not careful, but there is no reason to let that happen when there is so much amazing information available at our fingertips.

Some of my favorite home school posts are

ALL KIDS NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL!

Smart Board Lessons for the Home School Classroom

Budget Home School Planning with OneNote

I also share about products that I really LOVE or think provide a beneficial purpose to homeschoolers, right now I’m giving away a

Yoplait Kids Prize Pack on behalf of Yoplait with the help of MyBlogSpark

And

A Membership for both ClickN Read and ClickN Spell from the ClickN Kids family of products.

Go ahead, hop over, and enter to win!

I also ramble on about life and all that good stuff too!
