I have been known to stalk the Disney Youth Education web site in search of details for upcoming home school days and field trips. This morning however involved no stalking on my party as Disney sent a lovely little message right into my inbox announcing the 2012 Fall Homeschool Day that will have Disneynature lovers excited.
A Presentation on Primates
This fall on October 25 the homeschool day, A Presentation on Primates at Disney World will take place at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and ties into the Disneynature film, Chimpanzee set to premier in theaters on April 20. The one hour presentation will aim to help your homeschooler learn about conservation and will include discussion with animal experts about primates.
Registration isn’t open for the home school day yet, but never fear, as I’m sure to stalk the site like crazy woman again and will let you know as soon as it is.
Did you know that Disneynature offers up a FREE educators guide to the film? It features more than 100 pages of lessons on animal adaptations, habitats and ecosystems and so much more. What homeschooler doesn’t like free curriculum dropped into their lap!
