I received a free box of Alpha-Bits Cereal through BzzAgent for the purpose of completing a BzzCampaign. Opinions are 100% my own.
What do breakfast and Super WHY!™ have in common, Alpha-Bits cereal of course! That's right, the breakfast cereal enjoyed by families since 1956, is back with a new themed box that is sure to make breakfast or snack time fun.
I remember Alpha-Bits from when I was a kid, so needless to say, I got a little nostalgic when I found out I would have the opportunity to review the cereal with my kids. It turned out though, once the box arrived in the mail, that the kids were more excited than I could have imagined.
Really, I should have expected it. After all, they love those alphabet soups and get frustrated that they can never actually spell anything with the letters. So to get handed a food that was tasty and that they could play with, score!
In the words of my 4-year-old daughter, "I love Alpha-Bits! It's my favorite!"
I have to say though, that my kids actually enjoyed the cereal more as a dry snack than with milk. As for me, I was happy to have a quick breakfast choice in the house that offered up 20 grams of whole grain* and 12 essential vitamins and minerals per serving. Not to mention, it isn't full of lots of bright colors (aka yucky dyes.)
Do any of my fabulous readers remember eating Alpha-Bits when you were a kid? Have you bought them for your kids before?
*Per 30g serving. Nutritionists recommend at least 3 servings of whole grain foods each day (about 16g per serving or 48g per day).
