It is settled, we will be making our final trip to Disney World as annual passholders on St. Patrick's Day Weekend. While we be attempting a day trip the day before the green and booze take over, I know there will be entertainment all weekend. Our family will be attempting to avoid the crowds, so that we can hit up some of our favorite attractions, but I wanted to share them with you.
Downtown Disney - The Official Disney World St. Patrick's Day Event
Disney has spread out the entertainment for St. Patrick's Day at Downtown Disney over two weekends, beginning March 8, at .Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant.
Over the course of the two weekends the entertainment will consist of over 50 musicians and dancers, celebrity chefs, instructors in ceili dancing and the jig so that you can join in and Declan Masterson, recent touring musical director of Riverdance will even be there.
Of course you can partake in the traditional Irish food and brews too, but seating is on a first come, first serve basis and on the 16th and 17th will be limited to those 18 and up with possible cover charges for select entertainment.
The Flower and Garden Festival
If the excitement of the St. Patrick's Day festivities at Downtown Disney seem to be a little bit to much for you, you can always hop on over to Epcot and take in the sights, sounds, smells and tasty food of the International Flower and Garden Festival.
While there are no official plans for celebrations with pots of gold and pints of ale here, you sure to have a good time.
As for Our Family
You will find us FINALLY hitting up the New Fantasyland, indulging in the thrills at Hollywood studios and maybe taking a quick peek in Epcot (the festival is our favorite.)
Have you ever been to Disney World during a holiday? Which is your favorite to celebrate with the mouse?
