Get Ready to Escape from Planet Earth!

About a week ago I saw a preview on TV for a new animated movie, Escape from Planet Earth, and thought, “Wow, that looks so cute and entertaining.” Then I saw that this newest family film from The Weinstein Company is set to release on Friday, February 15, 2013, perfect timing for a Valentine's weekend date.

That’s when I decided to ditch a romantic candle lit dinner for laughs with the family by theater light.

Will you join me and take the pledge to ditch traditional Valentine’s Day celebrations and make it a 3D animated family comedy date night? Repeat after me.

“This Valentine’s Day I will take my family on a trip to planet Baab to meet their national blue here, Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser.)
“I will sneak in a romantic glance while passing the popcorn, this Valentine’s Day while the no-nonsense chief of BASA, Lena (Jessica Alba) tells of an SOS from the notoriously dangerous planet.”
“This Valentine’s Day I will clutch my children’s hands in anticipation as Scorch pulls off astonishing feats with the help of the head of BASA, his quiet and nerdy brother, Gary (Rob Corddry).”
“I will limit the drinks my children inhale this Valentine’s Day so that we won’t miss Scorch being caught by a fiendish trap set by the evil Shanker (William Shatner) with a bathroom break.”
“When my kids are caught up in the animation magic this Valentine’s Day, I will remember how much I love my family as we watch Gary save his brother, his wife Kira (Sarah Jessica Parker) and their adventure-hungry son Kip (Jonathan Morgan Heit).”
“This Valentine’s Day, I will take my family to go see Escape from Planet Earth in 3D in theaters!”

Okay, now that you’ve taken the pledge, you must check out the official Escape from Planet Earth website. Here you can watch an extended trailer, play games, read about the characters and more. I am personally in love with the characters and story line. So many movies portray the poor little aliens attacking or invading us in some manner. It is nice to see the aliens as the victim for once.

But before you go, I am giving away an Escape from Planet Earth prize pack to one lucky winner. Check out the details below.

Disclosure: I was compensated for this sponsored post made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own. All prizing for MSM giveaways is handled by a third party unless otherwise noted. For this reason prize fulfillment can take up to 90 days after the winners information is received.
